The San Marcos community is grieving the heartbreaking loss of Kristopher Nathaniel Logan, 26, who tragically died in a drowning accident on April 13, 2026, along the Colorado River near Davis Camp.

According to authorities, emergency responders were dispatched to the scene at approximately 11:15 a.m. after reports of a possible drowning. Investigators revealed that Logan had entered the water from a pontoon boat in an attempt to retrieve a hat that had been blown into the river. Sadly, he did not resurface.

The dive team from the Bullhead City Fire Department later recovered his body, and he was pronounced dead at the scene. Officials have confirmed that the incident appears to be accidental and non-criminal in nature. It was also reported that Logan was not wearing a life jacket at the time of the incident.
