Cameron Clark Obituary, Death: In Loving Memory Of Cameron Clark

It is with heavy and broken hearts that we share the sad news that Cameron left us on the morning of June 8, 2026, at the age of 64. His sudden and unexpected passing has left us in shock and disbelief.

Born in Edinburgh Scotland, Cameron immigrated to Canada with his family in 1964 and settled in the Durham Region area in southern Ontario. After high school, Cameron had many adventures and while taking part in Katimavik, living in Calgary and hanging out on Queen Street in Toronto. Lifelong friendships were forged and some truly great stories were written. He eventually attended post-secondary school and began his long career in public health, while also obtaining a Master’s degree in this same field. Upon retirement Cameron sought out something more fulfilling and most recently worked at a homeless shelter and as a personal support worker for a local high school. He was always rooting for those who needed it most. He was also enjoying time as Campa with his little buddy Malcolm.

Cameron was larger than life, had an even bigger heart and was liked and loved by so many. He enjoyed food, film and literature and was always so eager to discuss his observations and insights. He made people laugh (so hard and so often), challenged them to think, and encouraged them to grow. He enjoyed the simple things in life like a good cup of espresso, a walk on a beautiful sunny day and listening to groovy music. Cameron greeted each day anew with gratitude and humility.

Cameron is survived by his wife Kim Peters, daughter Sophie (Luke Willis) and stepdaughter Savannah Peters (Myles and Malcolm Allen). He is also survived by his mother Betty, brothers Graeme (Sylvia) and Scott, and sister Marianne (Colin Jones), nieces Klara Jones (Keteer Singh) and Marina (Leighton, Beau and Levi Dyck) and nephew Shan Jones. His extended family includes Ola and Matthew Muszalski who hold a special place in his heart.
Cameron is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his father John in 2022.

A special gathering will take place on June 20th from 12:30-3:30 p.m. at Rossland Park Complex,
511 Mayfair Ave. Oshawa, ON. Tributes will begin at 1:30 p.m. All are welcome to join.
Another celebration of life will take place in New Liskeard at a later date.
