Michael Martin Death, Obituary: A peaceful Friday morning turned into a heartbreaking tragedy following a devastating single-vehicle crash that claimed the life of Michael Martin, 75, of Whiting, New Jersey. According to authorities, the crash occurred on Friday, March 13, 2026, at approximately 5:37 a.m., when officers from the Manchester Township Police Department responded to a report of a vehicle that had crashed into a tree at the intersection of Pinewald Keswick Road and Crestwood Parkway in Manchester Township.
When officers arrived at the scene, they discovered a 2019 gray GMC Terrain that had left the roadway and struck a tree head-on after traveling onto the grassy shoulder. The impact caused noticeable damage to the front passenger-side bumper of the vehicle and triggered the deployment of the driver-side front airbag.
The initial investigation revealed that the vehicle had been traveling westbound on Crestwood Parkway before stopping at the stop sign to make a left-hand turn onto Pinewald Keswick Road. While attempting to make the turn, the driver lost control of the vehicle. The SUV then entered the northbound lane of Pinewald Keswick Road, left the roadway, and continued onto the grassy shoulder where it ultimately collided with a tree.
Emergency responders arrived quickly and provided aid at the scene. Michael Martin suffered serious internal injuries as a result of the crash and was transported to Community Medical Center for emergency medical treatment. Despite the efforts of medical professionals, Mr. Martin later succumbed to his injuries and was sadly pronounced deceased.
