Mason Elliot Marshall, Christin Nicole Woodman Death, Obituary: The Lancaster community is reeling after a tragic house fire early Wednesday morning claimed the lives of Mason Elliot Marshall, 27, his girlfriend Christin Nicole Woodman, 26, and their infant son. The fire erupted at around 1 a.m. at 655 1/2 E. Fifth Ave., leaving the family gone too soon and leaving a community in deep sorrow.
Firefighters arrived to heavy flames and challenging conditions due to the home’s location off an alley between Fifth and Sixth avenues. Despite their heroic efforts, Mason, Christin, and their infant son could not be saved. Two other individuals were rescued and treated on the scene by Lancaster medics.
City Fire Chief Slade Schultz said, “Two people were rescued from the house and treated on scene. Unfortunately, three people lost their lives in this tragic fire.” Multiple fire departments provided mutual aid, and the Red Cross assisted a displaced resident.
Authorities confirmed that the fire is under investigation, and the cause has not yet been determined. The Lancaster Police Department and county coroner’s office were on the scene, working alongside firefighters to document the tragedy.
This heartbreaking loss has left family, friends, and neighbors devastated. Mason and Christin, along with their infant, were taken far too soon, and their absence will be deeply felt by all who knew and loved them.
