Kenneth E. Preston II Identified in Fatal Friday Night Motorcycle Crash
Kenneth E. Preston II Death, Obituary: HOUSTON COUNTY, Ala. — A tragic motorcycle crash Friday night has claimed the life of 55-year-old Kenneth E. Preston II of Dothan, leaving family, friends, and the community mourning his sudden loss.
According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA), the crash occurred at approximately 8:41 p.m. on March 27 along Mills Street near Glen Lawrence Road, about two miles east of the Dothan city limits.
Officials say Preston was operating a 2008 Honda XR650 motorcycle when, for reasons still under investigation, the vehicle left the roadway and struck an embankment. The impact caused Preston to be thrown from the motorcycle.
Authorities confirmed that Preston was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. He was pronounced dead at the scene as a result of the injuries he sustained.
Emergency responders arrived quickly, but the severity of the crash left little that could be done. The scene was secured as troopers began their initial investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
