Justin Braun Death, Obituary: The Shillington community is mourning the sudden and tragic loss of Justin Braun, 47, who passed away Tuesday, March 17, 2026, in a fatal crash on Route 724 in Cumru Township.
According to the Berks County Coroner’s Office, the fatal accident occurred around the 1800 block of Philadelphia Avenue (Route 724) in Cumru Township, PA. Authorities say Braun was driving a westbound pickup truck when, for reasons still under investigation, his vehicle crossed the center line and collided nearly head-on with an eastbound trash truck.
Emergency responders arrived quickly, but despite their efforts, Braun was pronounced dead at the scene at approximately 3:40 p.m. The coroner determined that he died from blunt force trauma, and the manner of death has been ruled accidental.
The driver and passenger of the trash truck were transported to a nearby hospital for evaluation. Their current conditions have not been publicly released.
