Jennifer Schexnayder Taylor Charlotte, NC Death and Obituary:- The community of Charlotte Catholic High School in Charlotte, North Carolina is grieving the loss of Jennifer “Jen” Schexnayder Taylor, a cherished educator, mentor, and alumna whose life left a lasting mark on students, colleagues, and friends. Her passing has created a deep sense of sadness across the school and among the many people whose lives she influenced over the years.

Jen’s connection to the school began long before her career in education. As a proud graduate of the Class of 1996, she once walked the same hallways as a student, forming friendships and memories that would later inspire her to return as a teacher and mentor. Over time, she became a vital part of the school community, serving not only as an educator but also as a coach, choreographer, and trusted colleague.

Students remember Jen as a teacher who brought genuine enthusiasm into the classroom. She had a gift for making lessons meaningful and engaging, while encouraging every student to believe in their abilities. Many recall how her guidance helped them build confidence, pursue their interests, and develop skills that extended far beyond academics.

Outside the classroom, Jen’s creativity and leadership shined through her work as a coach and choreographer. She loved helping students express themselves, collaborate as a team, and challenge their own limits. Her influence helped shape both strong programs and strong character among the young people she mentored.

To fellow teachers and staff, Jen was known for her warmth, kindness, and uplifting spirit. She was the colleague who offered support during difficult moments and celebrated the successes of others with genuine joy.

Beyond the school walls, Jen was deeply devoted to her family. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, and mother whose life revolved around those she cared about most.

A student-led prayer service will be held on March 15, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. in the school gymnasium, where students, faculty, alumni, and families will gather to honor her memory. While her absence is deeply felt, the legacy of compassion, dedication, and encouragement she leaves behind will continue to inspire the community for years to come.
