Gabe Royer Death, Obituary: CARTHAGE, MO — The Carthage community is deeply saddened by the sudden passing of Gabe Royer, 40, a respected businessman and cherished member of the community. Gabe lost his life following a motorcycle accident on Sunday, March 22, 2026, on Gum Road, approximately six miles east of Carthage in Jasper County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Gabe was riding a 2009 Yamaha FZ6R motorcycle when, for reasons still under investigation, he ran off the roadway, struck a culvert, and was ejected from the motorcycle. Emergency responders arrived quickly, and he was airlifted to Mercy Springfield for treatment. Despite the best efforts of medical personnel, Gabe was pronounced deceased early Monday morning. Authorities confirmed that he was the sole occupant of the vehicle and that no other cars were involved. Details regarding mechanical issues, speed, or other contributing factors have not yet been released.
