The North Ridgeville community is grieving the heartbreaking loss of Dominic Joseph Farago, a vibrant and accomplished young man whose life was tragically cut short at the age of 22. Dom passed away on Friday, April 3, 2026, leaving behind a loving family, close friends, and countless individuals whose lives he touched with his kindness, energy, and unwavering spirit.

Born on December 20, 2003, in Cleveland, Dominic was the cherished son of Joseph and Maria (Brunello) Farago. He grew up surrounded by a supportive family who nurtured his talents, values, and love for life. Dom is survived by his parents, his brothers Vincent and Marco Farago, and his grandparents Sharan Farago, Joe Farago (Karen), and Sharon Weitzman (Skip). He was also a beloved nephew to Gina Farago, Joelle Farago, and Charlie Brunello (Sandy), and a first cousin to Mariah Brunello, Alyssa Miller (Brandon), and Anthony Brunello. He held a special place in the lives of many as a godfather to JB and was deeply cherished by extended family, friends, and his loving girlfriend, Hannah.

Dominic was a remarkable student and athlete. At North Ridgeville High School, he excelled in football, basketball, and track, earning admiration for both his skill and his sportsmanship. He balanced his athletic achievements with academic excellence, graduating with honors. His commitment to learning and leadership qualities carried him to Kent State University, where he pursued a degree in Business and Entrepreneurial Marketing, driven by curiosity, ambition, and a desire to make a meaningful impact on the world.

Those who knew Dom remember him as selfless, warmhearted, and endlessly devoted to his family and friends. He had a natural ability to make people feel valued, and his generosity, humor, and optimism brightened the lives of those around him. Whether on the field, in the classroom, or spending time with loved ones, Dom approached life with passion, determination, and an infectious energy that left a lasting impression on everyone he met.

Friends and family are invited to pay their respects at Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Rd., North Ridgeville, on Thursday, April 9, from 4-8 PM. A private prayer service for family will be held Friday morning, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Peter Catholic Church, 35777 Center Ridge Rd., North Ridgeville, at 10 AM on Friday, April 10, where members of the public are welcome to attend.

Dominic Joseph Farago’s life, though tragically brief, was filled with love, achievement, and dedication to others. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, teammates, and classmates, a testament to a young man who lived fully, loved deeply, and inspired all who knew him.
