Seaford Oyster Bay Expressway Accident – A serious accident on the Seaford–Oyster Bay Expressway has drawn attention after a tragic crash left one person dead and prompted a police investigation in Nassau County.

According to authorities, the crash occurred in the early morning hours along the expressway near Bethpage, between exits 8 and 9. Police say a vehicle traveling along the highway lost control and veered off the roadway before striking several trees along the shoulder.

Emergency responders arrived at the scene shortly after the crash was reported. Despite efforts to assist the driver, the individual—identified as a 25-year-old man—was pronounced dead at the scene by responding medics.

Investigators said the crash appeared to involve a single vehicle and occurred around 1 a.m. while the driver was traveling northbound on the expressway. Authorities have not yet released additional details regarding the circumstances that caused the vehicle to leave the roadway.

The incident led to temporary traffic disruptions as police secured the area and conducted an investigation. Portions of the highway were closed for several hours while crews worked to clear the scene and gather evidence.

The Seaford–Oyster Bay Expressway, which connects the communities of Seaford and Syosset on Long Island, is a heavily traveled corridor used daily by thousands of commuters across Nassau County.
