A tragic crash on a quiet stretch of Illinois Route 59 in Shorewood, Illinois claimed the life of 18-year-old Isaak G. Torres of Joliet, Illinois on Thursday night near Hammel Woods.

Authorities reported that the collision occurred at approximately 10:15 p.m. and involved two vehicles, each occupied only by its driver. The circumstances leading up to the crash remain under investigation.
