Allyson Harvey, born July 16, 2007, of Queensland, Australia, passed away on March 20, 2026. Allyson was a cherished and devoted member of the Girl Guides community, serving for 13 years across Happy Valley, Kenmore, and Moggill Districts. Her dedication, kindness, and joyful spirit left an enduring mark on everyone she encountered.

Throughout her Guiding journey, Allyson made countless contributions, from selling Girl Guide biscuits to participating in Snow Trek, Boomerang Bags projects, and representing her community as a medal bearer at the INAS Games. She proudly took part in ANZAC City Marches and Gunfire Breakfasts and was an enthusiastic participant in many camps and campfires. Her energy, thoughtfulness, and adventurous spirit made her a role model to her peers and leaders alike.

Allyson’s personal qualities—her genuineness, resourcefulness, and respectfulness—shone through in every aspect of her life. She had a natural ability to uplift those around her, always standing up for fairness and kindness. Even small touches, like introducing the surprisingly perfect pairing of jam and Vegemite on damper, left an unforgettable impression on friends and family.

Guiding ran in Allyson’s family, with her older sister Emma and her mother, Cat, serving as a Leader and District Manager. Together, they shared a passion for helping others and building community, which Allyson carried in her heart every day. Her presence brought warmth and light to all who knew her, and her absence leaves a profound gap in the hearts of her family, friends, and the wider Guiding community.
