Amanda LaRusic Death, Obituary: In Loving Memory Of Amanda LaRusic

Amanda LaRusic Obituary

Amanda LaRusic Death, Obituary: Amanda Joyce LaRusic, 37, of Truro, Nova Scotia, passed away peacefully on February 22, 2026. Born in Peace River, Alberta, on June 28, 1988, just a few minutes before her twin sister, Britanny.

Mandy is survived by her son, Charlie LaRusic-Weir; her twin sister, Britanny (Graham); her brother, Gordie (Lauren); her father, Gord; mother, Joy (Murray); her nephews, Oliver and Fletcher; her paternal grandparents, Janet and Bernie; many beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins; and her life-long best friend, Katherine MacNeill (Jeff).

Her family is devastated by her passing and feel the loss of her presence in their lives immensely.

Mandy was an extraordinary, deeply loving, very fun mother. She remained close with Charlie’s father, Addison (Cara), as well as Charlie’s paternal grandparents, Nancy and Barry. Mandy was exceptionally proud of Charlie. He is a great friend with a big heart, just like his mom.

Mandy was a true artist. Creative to the core in her work as a dancer and as a teacher, she was someone to be admired and looked up to. She shared her talent with artists and companies across eastern Canada, and in Ottawa and Toronto.

The legacy Mandy leaves behind is bigger than words can describe. The way she embraced the fun moments of life. Her care for her friends and family. Her love for the beach. A free spirit with a heart so full. She will be remembered with so much love.

A celebration of life will be held this summer. Details to come at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow St., Truro, NS.
