Tammy Morin Death, Obituary: ASHLAND, Ky. — The community of Ashland is grappling with sadness and concern following the tragic and suspicious death of Tammy Morin, 43, whose body was discovered Monday morning near the floodwall along 34th Street.

According to the Boyd County Coroner’s Office, authorities were notified at approximately 8:00 a.m. on March 16, 2026, after city workers discovered the body of an adult female in the area and contacted emergency responders. The woman was later identified as Tammy Morin, a resident of the Ashland area.

Coroner Mark Hammond pronounced Morin deceased at 8:30 a.m. at the scene. Officials say that the circumstances surrounding her death are being treated as suspicious, and early evidence found at the scene suggests that foul play may be involved.

Investigators have confirmed that Morin’s body will be transported to Frankfort on Tuesday for a full autopsy, which will help determine the exact cause and manner of her death. Authorities hope the examination will provide additional answers as the investigation continues.
